Port of Nafplion The port of Nafplion is located on the NE side of the Akronafplia peninsula and is of mixed use. It is attached to the old city and consists of a quay that is divided into two parts by an intermediate pier. The harbor opening is 107 m. and is protected by the SW and NE winds with breakwaters. Despite its picturesque location, the port of Nafplion offers modern facilities and 24-hour operation throughout the year. It operates having berths of a total length up to 420 mtrs and is also guarded & harmonized with the International ISPS Code of Safety. For safe sailing and berthing purposes of the cruise ships at this time, there is the ability to serve 2 cruise ships up to 200 m in length (Pier 1: c/s upto 205 m long and Pier 2: c/s upto 139 m long). Part of the port operates as a marina for sailing tourist yachts..
